The syndicate operated websites with names such as 'asia dollies' and 'korean kimchi' featuring sexy photographs of Thai and Korean prostitutes.

It was busted by police last December and on Friday. Tan Lip Ghim, 33, was jailed six months. He had pleaded guilty to living off immoral earnings and assisting in the management of the vice ring.

A district court heard that clients could call telephone numbers featured on the websites to make appointments with the call girls, who stayed in hotels such as Fairmont Hotel in Bras Basah Road and Peninsula Excelsior Hotel in Coleman Street.

Each client was charged about $180 and for the first 27 customers, the syndicate will take all of the payments. From then on, the syndicate's cut was about $100 per customer.
