OCBC Cycle rider dies after sustaining serious head injuries during Sunday's event

Full-time National Serviceman Chia Wee Kiak, 24, has died from head injuries which he suffered on Sunday, during an accident at the OCBC Cycle Singapore.
Mr Chia, who was a first-timer at the annual ride, hurt himself at Benjamin Sheares Bridge soon after the start of the 59km Super Challenge.
He was brought by ambulance to the Singapore General Hospital where he underwent a 13-hour surgery, and remained in the intensive care unit since.
While investigations are still ongoing it is believed that Mr Chia fell on his own while riding down slope.
