An undergraduate, who filmed upskirt videos of unsuspecting women two years ago, was jailed six weeks on Friday. Liow Yaw Vwee had pleaded guilty last month to intending to insult the modesty of three victims.

A district court heard that the student of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of the National University of Singapore was nearly caught taking upskirt pictures in the changing rooms of the Cotton On shop in Parkway Shopping Centre on April 8, 2010.

Nothing incriminating was found on his cell phone and a security officer warned him off. Liow was undeterred.

Three days later, a witness saw him filming the undergarments of a 24-year-old woman on an escalator at VivoCity in HarbourFront.
