The National University of Singapore and Temasek Foundation has launched a programme to help improve the learning of the English language among university students in Thailand.

The programme, which is done in collaboration with Thailand's Ministry of Education, started with a funding boost of $400,000 from Temasek Foundation to the Centre for English Language Communication at NUS.

This centre at NUS will work on designing and developing activities and strategies to improve English language competency of Thai university students.

Since 2009, this centre has worked with universities in Southeast Asia to address issues related to the learning and teaching of English in the region.
