CONTRARY to widespread perception, Singaporeans are not taking advantage of annual levy passes into the casino to enjoy multiple entries at the fixed price of $2000.

Minister in the Prime Minister's office Mr S Iswaran in Parliament said in Parliament on Friday said that of the total number of entry levies bought by locals last year, less than one per cent of them were annual entry levies. The rest were daily entry levies.

He was responding to several members' suggestions during the ongoing debate on casino regulations, that the Government scrap the annual entry levies.

The annual levy is $2,000 while the daily entry levy is $100.
