Several projects will be rolled out by the National Library Board (NLB), following a comment by the Prime Minister during the recent National Day Rally speech.
In the speech, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong noted that memories shared by Singaporeans "come together to define the Singapore story for all of us and collectively bind us together to become the soul of a nation".
A team - mooted by the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts and made up of NLB staff - is aiming to harvest and showcase memories.
An exhibition, entitled The Singapore Story: My Heart, My Hope, My Home will be held in 2013. It will showcase memory contributions from the community. Since Aug, 2011, 300,000 memories have been collected.
