TransitLink's new standard ticket scheme, which has been progressively implemented since November last year, is now fully operational islandwide.

The new standard ticket can be used up to six times within 30 days from the date of purchase, and requires a lower deposit of 10 cents, which is automatically returned through a 10-cent offset on a passenger's third trip using the ticket. Passengers are given a further incentive to reuse the ticket with a 10 cent discount on the sixth and final trip.

Passengers using the new standard ticket also have the option of buying a return trip on their ticket. This is not an available option on the current standard ticket.

From March 1 onwards, the green standard ticket cannot be used for travel on the MRT and LRT system.
