From 2015, pupils sitting their Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) in English will take a revised paper to reflect a refreshed curriculum that emphasizes communicating effectively in the globalized world.
This follows the introduction of a revised syllabus to students from Primary Four onwards next year (2013).

There will also be a new visual text comprehension section in Paper 2 in the form of multiple choice questions. The open-ended comprehension section will feature more varied question types, such as tables that pupils will fill in using information from the passage.
