Canberra Secondary is the first school chosen to run a new co-curricular activity (CCA) launched on Monday by the Health Promotion Board (HPB).

The school's strong emphasis on leading a healthy lifestyle is evident in its well-equipped gymnasium as well as a canteen that serves healthy set meals.

The new CCA, called the Health Promotion Club, aims to get young people to encourage their peers to live healthily.

HPB will provide the relevant training and resources for the students, as well as grants of up to $1,000 for each student-led project that reaches out to other students or the community.
