The National Community Leadership Institute (Nacli), the leadership training arm of the People's Association, started the celebrations of its 50th anniversary with the launch of the Nacli Heritage Wall and Nacli Heritage Trail on Tuesday.
Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, deputy chairman of the board of Nacli, launched the wall and flagged off about 200 grassroots volunteers and staff of People's Association who took part in the trail.
The wall and the trail, which stretches from the Nacli campus in South Buona Vista to Telok Blangah Heights, showcase the milestones of the institute since it was set up on Oct 5, 1964.
With stories of the pioneer community leaders, Nacli hopes to encourage future youth leaders to step forward and serve, starting from the primary school.
