Multimedia hotspot launched at public libraries for seniors
From today, seniors can enjoy free one-hour multimedia and Internet access at all the 24 public libraries.
Launched by the National Library Board, the Silver Infocomm hotspot allows Singaporeans and permanent residents aged 50 and above to use the multimedia stations to access library's resources, surf the Internet and check emails.
Library staff will also be on hand to offer assistance to seniors who need help using the computers.
Bukit Merah Public Library will also loan out iPads - the second library after Bedok library to do this - for visitors to read newspapers, e-books and listen to music.
