Changi Airport is giving Singapore Airlines (SIA) and SilkAir travellers more reason to transit in Singapore.

From now until the end of June, those transiting at the airport will each receive $40 worth of shopping vouchers - double the usual amount - which can be redeemed at more than 450 airport shops and eateries. To qualify for the perk, customers must fly in and out on SIA or SilkAir flights.

The vouchers can be collected at any of the seven information counters in the transit areas of Terminals 2 and 3 where the two airlines operate.

Mr Peh Ke-Wei, Changi Airport Group's vice-president for passenger development said: "We decided to improve the benefits to entice more passengers to fly through Changi for their upcoming trips."
