Solutions to tackle problem gambling will also include help for an addict's family.

This was raised by Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports Chan Chun Sing on Tuesday at the third Singapore Problem Gambling Conference.

Organised by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), previous conferences in 2007 and 2009 had focused on problem gambling and the gambler respectively.

Mr Chan pointed out that there is a need to reach out to families when addressing problem gambling as well.
