Molester jailed, caned and fined for targeting depressed housewife

Buy SPH photosHe realised that the housewife was not mentally sound and decided to take advantage of her. On Nov 24, Roopasingha Arachchige Anil Perera accosted the 47-year-old woman as she was walking to a coffee shop in Serangoon Central.
He molested the woman and later also got her to do a sex act. The 31-year-old Sri Lankan was today sentenced to three years in jail and nine strokes of the cane. He was also fined $1,000.
Perera is unemployed and is here on a special pass.
