MHA pays tribute to 42 long-serving volunteers

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday paid tribute to 42 long-serving volunteers, three of whom have served more than 25 years, in helping the ministry.
They have played a role in keeping Singapore safe by assisting in the fight against drug abuse and championing road safety, for example.
Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean acknowledged the dedication and efforts of the volunteers in a closed-door appreciation lunch held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel on Saturday.
DPM Teo, who is also the Minister for Home Affairs, said in a statement released to the media: "We need to keep up our efforts to ensure that Singapore remains a safe and secure home for all.
