Members want Law Society to explain clash with Ravi

Group to file motion calling for EGM to shed light on incident with lawyer

A group of members from the Law Society of Singapore wants it to shed more light on its recent clash with lawyer M. Ravi.

They plan to file a motion on Friday for the society to hold an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to explain what led to the recent debacle between one of its officials, Mr Wong Siew Hong, and Mr Ravi.

Mr Noor Marican, one of the members leading the motion, told The Straits Times on Thursday that more than 50 members are supporting the move.

"Basically, some members of the Law Society have expressed concern over the incident and have not received a full explanation as to what transpired," said the lawyer.
