A spat between two neighbours over the spraying of insecticide turned bloody when one of them slashed the other with a keris – an Indonesian-style dagger.

On Wednesday, Mazatulasher Osman, 45, was jailed for four months for injuring sales executive Neo Sern Ping with a deadly weapon.

Mr Neo, 37, suffered cuts to his forehead, nose, ear, neck and right arm.

Mazatulasher had pleaded guilty on Jan 5 to the attack in the corridor in front of their Housing Board flats in Tampines Street 81.
