Man jailed for assaulting condo guard after resident showed him rude gesture

She made a vulgar gesture at him and he tailed her car back to her condominium. There, Mohamed Lathiff Ali Kutty, 46, spat and punched a security guard in the face.

On Friday, the businessman was jailed a month for assault and a further three days for causing annoyance by spitting at the guard.

He had pleaded guilty in July. Then, a district court heard that Ms Lim Tsui Geok, 45, had sounded her horn as Mohamed Lathiff’s motorcycle was blocking her from turning right into Woodlands Avenue 1.

He stopped and gestured as if to ask: “What do you want?”
