A mini-mart owner who punched a site supervisor in a road rage case was jailed for two weeks on Thursday.

Thavaseelan Mayilvahanan, 38, pleaded guilty to punching site supervisor Azhagar Thamizh Selvan, 35, on the face along Pan-Island Expressway on Nov 19 last year.

Assistant Public Prosecutor Jamunah said the victim, an Indian national, was driving his lorry on the third lane of PIE when Thavaseelan's car swerved into his lane. The victim had to move to the fourth lane to avoid a collision.

The victim then signalled for Thavaseelan to stop at the road shoulder.
