Man's murder charge reduced to grievous hurt jailed 30 months

A man originally accused of murder was sentenced to 30 months' jail on Thursday for causing grievous hurt.
Lim Keng Heng, 42, had admitted to kicking Mr Lim Kah Ho, 65, twice in the abdomen which resulted in his death at a coffeeshop at Block 829 Tampines Street 81 on July 2 last year.
Lim, then a deliveryman, was having beer and seated with the deceased, a cue-sports referee, and three women when the two men had a disagreement.
The deceased approached Lim and punched him in the face. Before the deceased could attack Lim further, the latter retaliated and there was a scuffle.
