A man in his 30s was found dead in the Singapore River early this morning by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
It said in a media statement that it received a call at 1.26am from a member of public that someone had jumped in the river near Block A, Clarke Quay.
Two fire engines and an ambulance were among the SCDF resources dispatched, and they arrived at the site within four minutes.
The SCDF commenced search operations at the location where the subject was last seen.
