Man jailed 30 months for breaking into woman's home and molesting her

A man who sneaked into the bedroom of a trainee lawyer and molested her was jailed for 30 months and ordered to be given four strokes of the cane today.

Muhammad Idzuan Arifin, 24, was given another three years for taking methamphetamine or Ice.

He will be caned and serve a total of 5 1/2 years' jail as the sentences are consecutive.

Idzuan, who was a full-time national serviceman, pleaded guilty to both charges with a third of criminal trespass taken into consideration.
