M. Ravi and Law Society to meet again on Nov 15
The legal tussle between lawyer M Ravi and the Law Society will resume at two pre-trial conferences on Nov 15. This was decided at the High Court on Thursday.
Mr Ravi is suing the Law Society and its representative Wong Siew Hong for defamation, and is also applying for an expulsion of the society's council members.
The tussle centres on an incident in July when Mr Wong entered the High Court several times with a psychiatrist's letter stating Mr Ravi was unfit to practise.
For the defamation case, Mr Ravi has informed Mr Wong's legal team that he plans to subpoena two persons as witnesses. They are senior assistant registrar Yeong Zee Kin, and well-known criminal lawyer Subhas Anandan.
