LTA awards three Thomson MRT Line contracts worth $1.09 billion

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded three civil contracts worth $1.09 billion to construct the Sin Ming, Havelock and Marina Bay MRT stations on the Thomson Line.

Construction works for these stations are expected to start by the first quarter of this year. Sin Ming station is scheduled to be completed in 2020, while Havelock and Marina Bay stations are scheduled to be completed in 2021.

Penta-Ocean Construction Co won a $454 million contract to design and build Sin Ming station and its associated tunnels.

The Japanese construction firm was previously involved in building Expo station on the East-West Line and Yew Tee and Kranji stations on the North-South Line.
