Driven by their spontaneity and passion for the nation, some 3,500 youths from the People's Association have embarked on one of the largest youth-centric campaigns to celebrate Singapore's 47th National Day.

The "Love Red" movement, which started as a single event last year, has grown into a six-week long affair with more than 60 events organised.

The youths hope to engage 23,000 residents across Singapore.

The projects are "initiatives by the various youth executive committees... which symbolises their affection and passion for Singapore," said MP for Jurong GRC, Mr Desmond Lee, at a media briefing on Monday.
