Little India Riot: Singapore PR among 27 arrested: police

The police have given more details on the 27 people arrested in connection with the rioting incident in Little India on Sunday.
Of those arrested, 24 are Indian nationals, two are Bangladeshi nationals and one is a Singapore Permanent Resident, said the police in a media release on Monday. The suspects are aged between 23 and 45.
In the incident, 22 police officers and five auxiliary police officers were injured. All of them have since been discharged from the hospital. The mob also damaged 16 police vehicles. The damaged vehicles have been removed from Race Course Road and Hampshire Road and the affected roads were opened at 6.45am.
