A-level results released on Friday

About 90.6 per cent of candidates who sat the GCE A-level examination last year achieved at least three H2 passes, with a pass in General Paper or Knowledge and Inquiry.

This is similar to the overall performance for the national exam in 2011.

A total of 14,025 candidates took the exam last year. The results were announced on Friday.

Raffles Institution, which has consistently produced top A-level students, reported a record number of 10 students who scored distinctions in all their nine subjects, the maximum number of subjects an A-level student can take.
