Singapore's President and Prime Minister were among national leaders who led public servants in marking National Day across the island on Wednesday.
In a joint ceremony at the Istana, President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong led the staff of their respective offices in singing the national anthem and saying the Pledge.
Another event brought together management and staff from six government agencies housed in The Treasury building, while other ministries held similar observance ceremonies at their offices.
The ministers who took part in the events included Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen and Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan.
