A group of lawyers who called for the Law Society to explain its actions over fellow lawyer M.Ravi were left dissatisfied and none the wiser after an extraordinary general meeting on Monday night, said a spokesman.
The 21/2-hour session did not answer their questions at all, said Mr Noor Marican, representing the 51-members who had asked for the EGM.
"We still don't know the details of what transpired in July," he said. The group intends to gather as much information as it can before filing another motion.
This will either be to censure the Law Society's committee, or a vote of no confidence against the council or its president, Mr Wong Meng Meng. The Supreme Court auditorium was packed with some 504 members - nearly double the number who turn up for its annual general meetings.
