Shanmugam: Come forward with information on cat mutilation case

Law and Foreign Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam has urged residents to come forward if they have information on the recent case of cat mutilation.

He called the act "gruesome" and "sick".

Mr Shanmugam, who is Member of Parliament for Nee Soon GRC, added that how we are judged as a society can be seen from the way we treat animals.

On Sunday, two kittens were found dismembered outside a Housing Board flat in Yishun Ring Road in the Chong Pang neighbourhood.

The Cat Welfare Society posted the photo on its Facebook page after being alerted to the incident by a resident.

The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said it would be offering a reward for any information regarding this incident.
