An eagle-eyed carpenter helped locate the runaway car involved in Wednesday's Kovan double murder.
Mr Francis Yeo, 47, saw the silver Toyota Camry at 8.50am on Thursday and called the police.
It was parked near Block 1084, Eunos Avenue 7, outside the shop he works at.
He said he recognised the licence plate - SGM 14J - from the police appeal that went out on Wednesday.
He said that when he left his workplace at about 11pm on Wednesday, he did not notice the car.
Blood stains could be seen on the vehicle, especially near the right headlight and at the rear.
Police forensic officers were seen examining the car before it was towed away at about 12.30pm.
The car is said to belong to Mr Tan Boon Sin, who was 67 and not in his 70s as earlier reported.
Mr Tan, who owned a car business that used to also be in the Eunos area, was killed in his 14J Hillside Drive home on Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses saw his son, in his 40s, staggering from the house bleeding.
He was then run over by the Toyota which drove off with the body.
The younger Mr Tan's body was dislodged outside Kovan MRT station 1km away.
Police have not revealed the identity or gender of the driver.
