Kiss 92 FM sends listener on island getaway

Ms Magdalene Tan has never set foot in the Philippines, but you would never have guessed it from the vivid piece she wrote about its pristine scenery and the warmth of its people.
Her creation won her a private island getaway in a contest run by radio station Kiss 92 FM from the Singapore Press Holdings stable. The month-long contest, which asked listeners to share why it is more fun in the Philippines, ended last Friday.
It drew close to 400 entries, and was organised with the Philippines Department of Tourism.
"I'm looking forward to lazing around on the beautiful beaches and snorkelling," said Ms Tan, 41, a self-confessed beach-lover.
