Khoo Teck Puat Hospital launches book about hospital's "healing environment"
Khoo Teck Puat Hospital has launched a book describing what it has done to create a "healing environment" for its patients. Titled "A Healing Space: Creating Biodiversity at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH)", the 76-page book features, among other things, the terraced roof gardens and green spaces around the hospital which are aimed at providing a calm and soothing environment to aid patients' healing. -- ST FILE PHOTO: NURIA LING
Khoo Teck Puat Hospital has launched a book describing what it has done to create a "healing environment" for its patients.
Titled "A Healing Space: Creating Biodiversity at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH)", the 76-page book features, among other things, the terraced roof gardens and green spaces around the hospital which are aimed at providing a calm and soothing environment to aid patients' healing.
The hospital in Yishun has won numerous local and international accolades for its environmentally-friendly architechtural design.
Mr Lee Chiu-San, 67, a retiree and avid nature lover, came up with the idea for the book.
