The mental well-being of working adults in Singapore is 13 per cent lower than the general population, according to the Health Promotion Board (HPB) which conducted a survey with 1,000 respondents.
To tackle this problem, Dr Amy Khor, Minister of State for Health, launched the Centre of Excellence for Healthy Mind on Friday.
The one-stop centre is an online portal which comprises a self-assessment tool for employees, a health curriculum for managers and a health grant which companies will be able to apply for.
Companies will be reimbursed under this grant for organising mental wellness programmes such as counselling services, talks and workshops by up to $15,000.
