The Singapore Department of Statistics' household expenditure survey moves to Balestier, Bedok, Bukit Panjang, Havelock Road, Hougang, Marine Parade, River Valley, Upper Paya Lebar Road and Woodlands in upcoming weeks.
The survey - the department's tenth - started in October last year. It covers 11,000 households which are divided into 26 groups. Each group is surveyed for two weeks.
The 9th and 10th groups will be surveyed starting from Jan 21 and Feb 4 respectively. Households can verify the identity of survey officers by calling 1800-888-1213 from 8.30am to 10am daily.
The survey is conducted once every five years. The information is used to update the weighting pattern and basket of goods and services used to compile the Consumer Price Index, and for other social and economic planning purposes.
