Hotels and individuals lauded for security efforts
BELLMAN Kenggatharan Suppiah was on duty at the hotel lobby when he saw a man rushing out of the restaurant, gasping for air.
The 30-year-old quickly stepped in and did abdominal thrusts, and saved the man.
He was lauded for his act and got a Bravery Award at the annual Hotel Security Awards today.
Presented by the Singapore Hotel Association, National Crime Prevention Council and the Singapore Police Force, 71 hotels were recognised for maintaining a high standard of security in the hotel industry here.
