A scheme designed to make motorists give way to buses will be extended to  more stops islandwide from December.

The programme aims to speed up journey times by allowing buses to exit from bays more easily.

It is now being extended by more than 50 per cent, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

Bays in the scheme, which started in December 2008, are marked with a large yellow box and an arrow indicating the direction of exiting buses.
