Free TCM clinic opens at Sengkang Community Hub
A new clinic in Sengkang that offers free traditional Chinese medical treatments for residents opened on Saturday.
The collaboration between the Singapore Thong Chai Medical Institution - a charitable clinic set up in 1867 - and Sengkang Community Club management committee expects to serve mainly lower-income residents.
Residents in the Sengkang-Punggol area had raised concerns to their MPs during Meet-the-People sessions, about rising health-care costs and the need for affordable medical services.
Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, who was at the official opening on Saturday, said the clinic clearly fulfils the needs of residents in the area.
