Flurry of IPOs this month, after quiet market in 1st half of year
The initial public offering (IPO) market has kicked into gear with a vengeance this month, with one firm already listed and five pending.
Two will list their shares on the mainboard today, one makes its debut next Thursday and another on Oct 30.
The Catalist board will also have an addition: an online start-up will list there next Wednesday.
Investment bankers said firms had done preparation work and many had just been waiting for an opportunity like the recent share market rally to jump in.
There is also the rush to launch before the last two weeks of December, where the IPO window is generally closed.
