A residential village - the first of its kind at a polytechnic here - was launched at Temasek Polytechnic on Friday.
Students taking a transnational studies module will complete a two-week compulsory residential stay, which will see them living in groups of five in apartments previously used as staff housing.
The village will also have facilities such as pottery studios, art exhibition spaces and language labs.
Getting local and foreign students to mingle is part of the polytechnic's aim to be future-oriented and connected to the world.
