FedEx opens new $97m regional hub at Changi

Global logistics and transportation giant FedEx has moved into its new $97 million regional hub at Changi Airport.

Located within the Air Cargo Express hub, the facility is able to handle up to 12,000 packages an hour, compared to 6,000 before.

It also cuts down processing time significantly, said Ms Karen Reddington, regional vice-president, South Pacific, FedEx Express, on Wednesday morning.

This is because the facility houses air, ground and clearance operations under one roof, she said.
