Education Minister to attend regional education conference

Education Minister Heng Swee Keat will be attend the 47th Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Council Conference in Hanoi, Vietnam. He will be accompanied by senior education officials from the Ministry of Education.

SEAMEO is a regional inter-governmental organisation formed to promote co-operation in education, science and culture in South-east Asia.

From March 19 to 21, Mr Heng will meet with other regional education Ministers to discuss strategic directions and general policies of the council.

One of the highlights is the launch of SEAMEO College, a programme to foster dialogue among top education leaders.
