East-bound train service restored after temporary suspension

East-bound train service between Queenstown and Outram Park stations was temporarily suspended on Sunday night to allow police investigations into an incident that occurred on the tracks between Redhill and Tiong Bahru stations.

Trains are being turned around at Outram Park and Queenstown stations, according to a SMRT statement issued around 9.16pm.

But service was restored before 10pm.

During the suspension of service, bus bridging and free bus services were available at designated bus boarding points outside the affected stations such as Queenstown, Redhill, Tiong Bahru and Outram Park.
