Cornered by anti-drug officers, a 32-year-old man rammed his car into a Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) vehicle on Friday near a commercial building along Yio Chu Kang Road in an attempt to escape.

But it was in vain, as CNB officers arrested the suspect, together with a 45-year-old man who was in the same car. Officers seized 45.6g of cannabis during the arrest.

At the same time, officers swooped in on a second car which was travelling with the earlier suspects, and arrested a third Singaporean man, aged 32. A bundle of heroin was seized from the car.

The 45-year-old suspect was brought back to his hideout in the commercial building, where CNB officers arrested two female suspected drug abusers, aged 27 and 28. Officers found and seized 21g of 'Ice' and 10 'Erimin-5' tablets from within the hideout.
