A 47-year-old lorry driver threw sand and hurled vulgarities at a parking warden who had issued a fine to him.

R Nagulan pleaded guilty today to the offence committed in June this year.

He had parked his lorry on a continuous white line, with its hazard light flashing at Hampshire Road.

When he returned, he saw a summon slip placed on his lorry's windscreen and demanded an explanation from the Cisco officer who issued the fine.
