Dr Richard Hu to retire from GIC board from Nov 30

Dr Richard Hu Tsu Tau will retire from the board of the Government of Singapore Investment Corp (GIC) with effect from Nov 30.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who is also chairman of GIC, paid tribute to Dr Hu in a three-page letter of appreciation dated Oct 31.
In the letter, Mr Lee lauded Dr Hu's exemplary record and hard work.
"Between July 1983 and December 1984, you were managing director of both MAS and GIC, effecitvely running the two organisations," said Mr Lee.
