The LionsXII are through to the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Cup, but did so in a disgraceful match that saw fans leaving well before the final whistle.

Both the home side and Johor FC needed only a point to progress to the last eight, but the match degenerated into a farce soon after the hour mark.

Both teams were content to play square passes at the back. At one point, the players from Johor FC strung together 42 passes in their own half, prompting profanities from the fans.
