Defence Minister in Brunei for royal wedding

Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen and his wife, Mrs Ivy Ng, will be in Brunei until Monday as special representatives of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for the royal wedding of Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, daughter of Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

Dr and Mrs Ng will attend the bersanding ceremony and banquet on Sunday.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the latest visit is a reflection of the warm friendship and strong ties between Singapore and Brunei.
