Newly-minted Secondary 1 students reported to their new schools this morning. The first of two specialised schools for Normal (Technical) stream students, Crest Secondary in Jurong East, also welcomed its first batch of 200 students this morning.

The school had received more than 300 applications, detailing students' own take on their interests and aspirations, and how they would achieve them.

At Crest Secondary, parents bought textbooks and uniforms, and were briefed on school rules, reporting times when school starts on Jan 2, financial assistance, and details of a three-day orientation programme.
