A construction worker from India was given two months jail on Thursday, for trespassing and destroying surveillance cameras at a condominium in Pasir Ris.

A district court heard that Boss Selvakumar, 24, had on Monday climbed over a side wall and entered the unit in Elias Green to commit mischief.

Once inside, he dismantled and broke two surveillance cameras, which cost about $2000, before throwing them away.

He could have been jailed for up to three months or fined up to $1500, or both, for mischief.
